Flute Convention Tour

In Hong Kong, there is very limited access to the real flute culture. As an American flutist, I have the responsibility to educate my students not only on flute playing but about the whole flute culture as well. Ever since I attended the British Flute Society Convention in 2010 in Manchester, I decided to expand my flute knowledge and culture with my students by attending the National Flute Association Convention.

In 2012, I brought along a few students and friends to attend the NFA Convention in Las Vegas. It was an eye-opening event for all of us. Besides getting in touch with the real flute world, we also got a chance to explore Southern California, Las Vegas, Death Valley, and Grand Canyon.

In 2015, we had an amazing trip visiting Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, New York City, and Washington DC. The 2015 NFA Convention was held in Washington DC. I had a chance to meet with many of my facebook flute friends and surprisingly bumped into my conducting teacher from the University of Washington! It was an amazing trip indeed!

In 2017, I will once again attend the NFA Convention in Minneapolis. This time, I plan on visiting Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park as well. Please check out my tentative itinerary if you are interested. If you would like to join our flute adventure, please contact me.

The photo galleries under this tab will feature photos from our trip in 2010, 2012 and 2015. Hope you all will enjoy them as much as I do.
